French Wind-Up High Wire Acrobatic Gorilla with Box Set-Up and Palm Trees

This unusual wind-up is called “Ba Bou-Le Singe Acrobat.” The wind-up mechanism on the plastic gorilla works very well.

When wound, the Gorilla does rapid somersaults on the high wire strung between the two palm trees. This is a very unusual toy and I have not seen another one like it. 

The colorful jungle-themed box that acts as the base of the toy is in wonderful condition. The toy is 8 ½ "in length, 12” in height, and 4 ⅛” in width.
