German Antique Tin Litho Hand Crank Music Box

This ornate tin litho music box measures 4-1/2" square and reaches 7" in height at the top of the dome.

Two sides of the box feature pictures of singing canaries, and the other two sides feature a large church like pipe organ. The cranking mechanism worked well when tested, and various organ-like sounds could be heard.

There is substantial wear and oxidation on some of the tin litho, but the existing images and coloring on the piece are still discernible. The top portion of the music box (near the dome) shows very little of the original painted detail due to aging and oxidation.

A delicate cleaning may bring some of the original color back. There is a drilled 1/4" hole on one side panel that is not original to this item.
