The vintage filled glass tobacco jar displays an old tax stamp across the lid.  The Walnut Aromatic Blend was a popular tobacco. The lid fits securely and is made of simulated wood and cardboard.

The John Middleton Tobacco Company started in 1856 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In the late 1980's, the company also owned Prince Albert, Kentucky Club and Carter Hall brands. In 2007, the company was sold to Altria Group.

The excellent condition Prince Albert tin has been included so you can remember what it's like to initiate a crank call to tobacco retailers in the 1950's and 1960's with a rotary dial phone asking for the release of Prince Albert from the can.
