Hubley 1925 Cast Iron Mechanical Bank-Monkey & Organ Grinder

This great bank features a monkey attached to a chain with an organ grinder. Place a coin in the monkey's mouth, press the lever, and the animal propels himself to deposit the coin inside the organ grinder's box. 

When tested, the bank worked very well and the spring was very tight. The bank has never been repainted or retouched so its condition does show some paint loss but the original colors of the bank are very easy to see.

The original coin cover accompanies the bank but no key is present and the coin cover remains in open condition. This is a great classic bank that should be owned by any serious collector.
