J. Chein & Co. Tin Litho Clown Bank With Moving Tongue Slot

This working clown bank sticks out his tongue to accept the coin when you push on a little lever under the clown’s chin. The 5” tall bank was probably made in the 1930’s or 1940’s and is in good condition. 

The paint color is not vibrant due to age but there is very little damage to the tin litho except normal wear and a scratch to the metal finish on the back of the head. It appears the coin catcher cover may not be original.
