J. & E. Stevens 1880 Cast Iron Mechanical Owl Bank

This classic Stevens bank is in good working condition. Place the coin on the side of the owl’s neck, press down the lever on the back and the owl’s head turns and pushes the coin in the slot. The yellow and black eyes are made of glass.

The bank is 7 ½” tall. The bank has not been repainted and all iron is in good condition. The bottom markings are “Patented SEPT 21-28 1880.” The bottom circular coin locking/catch plate is missing. If you collect old banks, this simple Stevens bank is a must-have.
