J. & E. Stevens Bill E. Grin Mechanical Cast Iron Bank

This rare and wonderful bank was patented in 1915.  When you place a coin in the slot, Bill E. Grin rolls his eyes and sticks out his red tongue.  The mechanical mechanism of this bank works well. 

These banks were painted white and the paint condition of the bank shows substantial use and wear but the key features of the bank including the eyes, tongue, and name are in excellent condition and the non-repainted iron brings great character to this highly sought-after rare working bank.  The coin catcher appears to be original but the key is missing.. This is a great bank to own.
