Japanese Folk Art Acrobatic Toy- Single Bar Performer

This 10” tall Japanese acrobatic toy stumped us so we priced it at either $.250 per inch or at 10 cents an inch for the first 9 inches and $24.10 for the last inch. Either way, the toy is a Japanese women's acrobat mounted on a high bar.

When you pull the hard wire running along the side rail, the figure moves back and forth on the wire. The clothing is discolored below both knees, probably resulting from some color transfer from the wood composite used in the acrobat's legs. 

The painted hard rubber face of the acrobat reminds one of a beautiful Geisha performing her craft.
