Large & Small 1920’s VIGNY France Black Golliwogg Perfume Bottles

The large perfume bottle measures 6” in height and the small Golliwogg is about 3 ½” in height. These perfume bottles were sold by VIGNY Perfumeries of Paris. The bottle design and name was based on a character created by Florence Upton in the early 20th Century. Both bottles and the Golliwogg stoppers are in excellent condition except for the faded labels resulting from splashes of the perfume or water. 

The black Golliwogg hair was made of Siberian Seal Fur. The glass metal colors are in excellent shape and display double rows of black polka dots. These bottles are becoming rare and to own a pair of them is special.
