- Description
We believe this colorful and illustrated hinged box target board was made in the mid-1890s with the intention of bringing the family together to shoot a rubber tip arrow or rubber tip dart fired by a metal gun at the target.
The price for a small or large target game that came with either a bronze nickel pistol or rifle ranged from 50 cents to $1.65. Arrows were 2 for 25 cents and trigger springs were 15 cents.
The parts list and item list indicate that the manufacturer was the Elastic Tip Company in Boston Massachusetts. When opened, the interior of the Box displaying the target and parts list information is in excellent condition. A non-working metal dart gun remains in the box.
The illustrations on the exterior of the box are in good condition. This is a very unique piece.
