Late 1800’s Wood/Brass Mechanical Chromotrope With Abe Lincoln Slide

Calling all Chromotrope fans.  We know very little about this device except that the device works like a Kaleidoscope when set up properly.  There is an Abraham Lincoln picture on the permanent wheel and two multi-colored hand-painted border glass wheels that create the Kaleidoscope effect when you turn the handle connected to the brass wheel. 

The pulley cord that runs between the grooves of the brass wheel and the brass gears that the round slides sit on needs replacing.  The brass clear slide viewer lens with casing is present.  We are told that this is a rare piece and someone with working knowledge of Chromotrope’s can get Honest Abe moving again.
