Original 1890’s J. & E. Stevens Cast Iron Mechanical Bank- Bulldog (Blue Blanket)

This beautiful bank is in excellent condition.  The paint is in wonderful condition and the coin mechanism works extremely well.  Place the coin on the Bulldog’s nose and as the tail is pulled, the coin will drop into the dog's mouth and swallow the coin. 

The bank was patented in 1880.  The bank measures 8” tall and about 7” in length.  The glass eyes and coin trap are present but key is missing. This bank is a must-have for any serious collector.
