Original 1949 Yakity-Yak Talking Teeth with Box

These are the original wind-up clacking teeth that most children brought reproductions of. As the box says, when wound, the teeth “walk, talk, and they’re alive.” When tested, the wind-up mechanism worked very well and the teeth clacked their way into the original 1949 box. 

These teeth rank up there with the eyeglasses, nose, and mustache novelties but the action of the clacking of the teeth seems to mesmerize both children and adults.
