Original H.L. Judd "Peg Leg Beggar" Cast Iron Mechanical Bank

This working 5-1/4" tall mechanical bank, manufactured by H.L. Judd Company around 1895 is in very good condition.

Insert a coin in the slot located in the hat, and the beggar's head nods to say thank you. There are no breaks or cracks in this bank. The white hands gripping the hat provide a great contrast to the dark metal.

As with most of these banks, there remains no white paint on the face; but all the facial features were cast in the metal, so the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and hair are very distinguishable.

This bank is one of the harder-to-find banks, and for the price, this is definitely one to consider.
