Original Wards Orange Crush Syrup Dispenser

This 14” tall classic has the original silver plated pump and dispenser assembly. The popular Orange Crush Soda is still sold around the world today and started over a century ago with pottery-like decorated dispensers such as this one.  In 1924 there were over 1,200 Orange Crush bottlers throughout the world.

Lemon Crush and Lime Crush joined the product line. Grape was added in 1960 and in 1962 Cherry Crush was introduced.  Charles Hires Co (think Root Beer) bought the company, followed by Proctor and Gamble in 1980 and in 1989 Cadbury Schweppes acquired the beverage maker.

All the paint is original and there is some minor fading on the orange Ball but overall, the dispenser is in very good condition and all painted flowers and decorations show well.
