Rare 1950-1960's Alps Japan Battery Operated Tin Television Spaceman Robot

This 11” tall robot worked very well when tested.  The battery compartment (takes two size D batteries) is very clean and closes tight.  When you insert the attached antenna in the robot's head, the robot comes alive with spinning eyes, a lighted head, and a lighted space scene in the chest cavity television while the robot shuffles along. 

The robot's condition is very good to excellent with no known missing parts, and very few scratches but some minor oxidation on the metal can be seen which is not unusual for a toy that is over 60 years old.  This television robot is highly collectible and is representative of the Golden Age of Japanese battery-operated toys.
