This excellent condition 20" tall doll has Rootie in his baseball uniform, black leather shoes, stockings with hard composite hands and a smiling vinyl head that is almost flawless.

A Little Golden book titled Rootie Kazootie Baseball Star, published in 1954, includes the antique wooden stained spindle chair that allows Rootie to stand out in any doll collection. 

Rootie Kazootie was the principal character puppet on a children's show that aired from 1950-1954 called The Rootie Kazootie Club. He was a boy who loved sports and played an instrument called a magic kazootie.
