This beautiful clockwork automator features two articulating dancing African American female dancers that are made of wood.

The condition of the wood dancers is excellent, but there is substantial material loss on the thin silk outfit of one of the female dancers due to age. The clockwork mechanism worked well when tested, and the dancers not only move and down but on occasion a spin can be seen.

The box opens on top, and it is easy to observe and touch the antique clockwork mechanism for service or repair. A working key is included.

The oak wood case is in very good condition with a decal graphic of a Princess showing on one side. The item measures 10" tall at the top of the head of the dancers, 6-1/4" in length and 3-3/4" in depth. This item is a wonderful example of items that are quickly becoming rare to find in the marketplace.
