Rare Antique Japanese Meiji Kobe Articulating Wood Melon Eating Figure

This wonderful, 4" high, 2-1/4" wide and 2-7/8" deep handmade black man eating a quarter section of watermelon is in excellent condition. 

All features and subtle paint tints are beautifully displayed. The moving head, arms, watermelon slice, mouth, and tongue make this toy worth having in any collection.

We believe Kobe articulating wood pieces are becoming scarce. We rotated the wooden stem button, and the toy worked perfectly. The figure's head is mesmerizing to watch because of its shape, eyes, mouth, nose, and moving neck.
