Rare German Mechanical Wind-Up Mouse (Pre-1940's)

We have only seen a few of these items in the past. The intricate wind-up mechanism used curved rails (like skis) attached to a wheel that propels the mouse forward.

As the curved rails move side to side, the wheel rotates forward. This mouse is in very good condition with all eyes, ears, and tail present.

The mouse is only 2-1/2" long plus the length of the tail. The wind-up mechanism worked well when tested. The original key is missing, but we included a Schuco key that fits the winder well.
