This wind-up measures about 6-1/2" tall. When wound, the clown moves his head back and forth as he raises his arms to play with the string.

The wind-up mechanism worked well when tested. The clothing, shoes, hands, face, and hair are in very good condition, but there is some damage to the nose.

A "Made in West Germany" monkey emblem is glued to the red sweater. A piece of string is present in one of the hands, but we believe the original toy featured a string with a bead that moved back and forth between a string that was attached to both hands.

The string fix will be very easy to make if the potential buyer so desires. This toy was likely made in the early 1950's.
