This vintage bank is one of the most amazing battery-operated banks that the Japanese made.  The motor mechanism and function worked well when tested with two new “D” batteries. When a coin is inserted in the slot. Papa Bear places his fishing pole in the fishing hole, a magnet grabs the metal tin litho fish, his pole swings towards Baby Bear’s bucket, and Mama Bear is waiting with her black skillet to cook the fish.

There is only one metal fish and the four small rubber disc are missing from the bottom of the bank. In addition, the coin catcher cover is missing. The top of the bank has a small rust spot by the fishing hole but otherwise the tin litho and color are in good condition. Watching the bears fish in an experience worth owning.
