Shepard Hardware 1885 "Speaking Dog" Cast Iron Mechanical Bank

This well-built 7-1/4" tall, 7-1/2" long bank is in very good condition.

Place a coin on the sitting girl's paddle, push the lever near the dog, and the girl deposits the coin in the drop as the dog opens its mouth and wags its tail.

These banks were well constructed and the original paint shows fine. The bottom of the bank displays the July 14, 1885 patent date.
