These heavy cast iron banks were made in the 1970's. This mechanical bank functions well as the rod near the bow is pushed, the sailor holding the coin is hit by the sail mast and the coin falls into the slot at the base while the other sailor bends down and moves the rudder.

The sail is made of tin and is lashed to the boom with rope. The paint, metal, and sail are in very good condition. Missing from the bank is a little round life preserver that would attach to the side of the boat and the bottom coin cover.

These banks are somewhat rare, and the quality of the foundry work in forming this heavy metal boat is excellent.
