This antique cast-iron still bank was manufactured by J. & E. Stevens, one of the most prominent American makers of banks and toys in the 19th century. The bank carries a patent date of February 2, 1875, placing it firmly in the golden age of cast-iron bank production.

Beautifully crafted with architectural detail resembling a peaked-roof building, this very good condition 5-1/2" high x 3-3/4" long and 3-1/4" wide is an example that remains a fine representation of Stevens’ artistry and durability.

A classic piece of American savings history, this bank makes an exceptional addition to any serious still bank or cast-iron collection.
