Vintage Battery Operated "Photoing In Car" Chinese Metal Car with Box (Not-Working)

This attractive 12" red ruby colored car with driver and photographer female passenger has it all except for the ability to turn on. The workings of older Chinese toys are often known for quality control issues.

The battery compartment is spotless but 2 new "D" batteries won't make the horn sound, the headlights flash, or the female passenger click flash pictures. 

The car is still great to look at without the working motor but there is a noticeable separation between the female passenger's neck and head. 

The illustrated box is in very good condition. This would be a fun car to learn how to rewire. The car is priced as non-working and we believe if working, the car would be worth betwen $120-$150.
